Microsoft backtracks on Xbox One

As we all know Microsoft announced its new gaming counsel to the public "XBOX ONE" and as result we saw happy faces and excitement .....that's until they said the "restrictions part" which  devastated millions of gamers on the way the games would be traded, purchased, and used. A spec of both councils and comparisons can be found in our latest article.

As far as doing this restriction , Sony has lashed to Microsoft and showing off  there new counsel The PlayStation 4  and what it can do "what the Xbox One can't" and this has put a big burden on Microsoft. So much burden that TODAY Microsoft will reverse course on their DRM policies for Xbox One, dropping their 24-hour Internet check-in requirement and all restrictions

To All Yahoo Users

Yahoo! announced recently that it will be resetting all Yahoo! IDs that haven't been used for over 12 months come July 15th.

The move is an attempt to let new users get access to unused logins. If you have an account that you want to keep around but haven't used in a while, all you have to do is log in to any Yahoo! product with the username you want to keep.

Yahoo announced it on its blog, saying,
Over the last few months, we’ve made exciting changes to some of your favorite Yahoo! products, like Flickr, Mail, Weather, the Homepage and Search. Today, I’m excited to share with you our next big push: we want to give our loyal users and new folks the opportunity to sign up for the Yahoo! ID they’ve always wanted.

If you’re like me, you want a Yahoo! ID that’s short, sweet, and memorable like albert@yahoo.com instead of albert9330399@yahoo.com. A Yahoo! ID is not only your email address, it also gives you access to content tailored to your interests – like sports scores for your favorite teams, weather in your hometown, and news that matters to you.

So, how are we making these Yahoo! IDs available? We’re freeing up IDs, that have been inactive for at least 12 months, by resetting them and giving them a fresh start. In mid July, anyone can have a shot at scoring the Yahoo! ID they want. In mid August, users who staked a claim on certain IDs can come to Yahoo! to discover which one they got.

What if you haven’t logged into Yahoo! for over a year, but want to keep your Yahoo! ID? It’s easy. All you have to do is log on to any Yahoo! product before July 15th.
We’ve got a lot more in store that will make your everyday routines even more inspiring. We’re happy to have you as a part of the Yahoo! community!

Even if you don't need the account, it may be a good idea to log in anyway, to protect the rest of your online identity.

Super Smash Brothers Land

If can't wait for the new release of Super Smash Brothers that Nintendo announced at E3 2013?
PC indie developer Dan Fornace has created an 8-bit "de-make" of Smash Brothers called Super Smash Land, which re-imagines Smash Bros. as an original Game Boy title.

Watching the trailer above made me think this could've easily been a real GB title back in the day -- it looks just spot on. Dan seems to have absolutely nailed the look and feel of the era perfectly. The best bit about the game? It's free and you can download it now!

In an interview with Piki Geek, Dan says that although there's only four fighters right now, he's adding Mega Man and a mystery female character to round out the roster to six playable classic characters. This is looking like a real fun project; it looks the part and sounds great (the soundtrack is available via the website on a "pay what you want" basis) and I can't wait to give it a go.

I have already played it and its fantastic, just remember that its only available for PC and not for the game boy.

Dumb Ways To Die

Now this is an educational video I'm willing to see over and over just because its cute, gross, and playing educational. Please don't hate on the little guys. The video its called "Dumb Ways to Die"

This video  is part of a campaign to help prevent train-related deaths in the state of Victoria, Australia  which  features various animated characters singing a catchy tune warning of the dangers of acting unsafely around trains. The film may end up winning a third Grand Prix since it is favored to win in the Films Lions category later this week.

It even got 50 million viewers on YouTube. So Cute to die for.

Skull and Bones Sugar Cubes

Imagine taking a sip of your hot coffee or tea, only to come across a sugary skull peering out at you through the dark liquid. In a sleepy morning haze, such an unexpected moment could be quite startling. Snow Violent thought this kind of surprise would be an entertaining way to start your day. So the artist developed these Sugar Skulls, a series of skull-and-bones shaped sugar cubes that make a spooky addition to any hot beverage.

The unique concept began as a simple sketch and was later developed into a prototype by DR.HC to feature meticulously carved details that resemble an actual skull. The final product is a combination of grainy sugar and a creative design that dissolve together into one delicious treat.
